Stephanie FordMyers understands the importance of making your voice heard in your community. An accomplished artist driven by a commitment to integrity, activism, and service, Stephanie has consistently sought out opportunities to contribute to her community. Her creative talents and organized approach have allowed her to effectively share her perspective and amplify her voice to make a positive impact.
Stephanie has worked directly with grassroots community organizations such as the DeKalb Prevention Alliance focusing on outreach and interfaith coordinating. She’s also developed PR campaigns and assembled volunteer efforts with the DeKalb County Board of Health’s Public Relations department. Stephanie went on to serve as a national Union Organizer with the Service Employees International Union in Nashville, TN. She successfully organized networks of local hospital and service workers across the country while leading activism, membership, and organization initiatives.
Stephanie has also merged her artistic flair with her commitment to community involvement. Her commissioned works have graced the spaces of Decatur and Atlanta, and she’s also shared her passion for creativity through a children’s book and children’s affirmation illustrations. A dedicated PTA leader, she’s currently serving as President after fulfilling 2 successful terms as the PTA’s Vice President of Parental Involvement. Stephanie resides in Stone Mountain, Georgia, with her husband and two children.
